Lauraine Snelling

Modern US author. Her books do have a religious (Christian) slant but in the pony novels of hers which I have read it is reasonably subtle and should not put non-religious pony book fans off. Both of her horse-related series are aimed at the teenage market. I haven't read many of these but those I have are in my opinion superior to the other similar US pony series, although they do concentrate a lot on the competitive side (jumping and racing).

Ms. Snelling is also a prolific author of adult romantic fiction.

Obviously easier to find in the USA than elsewhere. Unfortunately, they are rarely seen on UK auction sites. They can be found on internet bookshops but high postage prices will make it pricey to buy the full series. Probably the easiest/cheapest way for UK buyers to purchase them is in sets on US auction sites.
